How to Save TikTok Videos to Your Phone From a Link

By the InstantTikBot Team · Published October 11, 2026

Someone sends you a TikTok link in a group chat, and you want the actual video file on your phone. Maybe you don't have TikTok installed, or the creator disabled the Save button. Either way, a link is all you need.

Quick steps

  1. Copy the TikTok link.
  2. Open @InstantTikBot in Telegram.
  3. Paste the link and send.
  4. Save the video that comes back.

Where do you get the link?

  • From the TikTok app: Share, then Copy link.
  • From a message: long-press the link in your chat app and choose Copy.
  • From a browser: copy the address from the URL bar.

All of these formats work: tiktok.com/@name/video/..., vm.tiktok.com/... and vt.tiktok.com/....

Save on Android

  1. Tap the video the bot sent.
  2. Tap the three dots at the top right.
  3. Choose Save to Gallery.

The file appears in your Gallery or Photos app under a Telegram folder.

Save on iPhone

  1. Tap the video to open it.
  2. Tap the share icon.
  3. Choose Save Video.

See the full iPhone guide for troubleshooting.

Save on a computer

Open the same chat in Telegram Desktop or Web, right-click the video, and choose Save As.

What if the Save button is disabled?

Creators can turn off downloads. Sending the link to the bot is a way to get a copy for your own offline viewing. Respect the creator: don't repost their work as your own, and credit them if you share it.

What if it doesn't work?

Problem Fix
Invalid link Copy it again from the Share menu
Private video Only public videos can be downloaded
Video deleted It has been removed from TikTok
Nothing arrives Wait a few seconds and resend

Bonus: no watermark

The copy you get from the bot has no TikTok logo overlay. If that's your main goal, read how to download TikTok videos without watermark.
