How to Download TikTok Videos on iPhone Without an App

Searching the App Store for a TikTok downloader brings up apps full of subscriptions and ads, and many of them disappear after a few weeks. The good news: you don't need one. If you have Telegram, you can download TikTok videos on your iPhone without installing a downloader app, and without the watermark.

What you need

  • An iPhone (any recent iOS version)
  • The TikTok app, or any TikTok link
  • Telegram

Steps

Open the video, tap Share, then Copy link.

2. Open the bot

Open @InstantTikBot in Telegram and tap Start.

3. Paste and send

Press and hold in the message field, tap Paste, and send. The bot replies with the video within seconds.

4. Save it to Photos

Tap the video to open it, tap the share icon in the bottom corner, and choose Save Video. It now lives in your Photos app, in the Recents album.

If Telegram asks for access to your photos the first time, allow it. iOS needs that permission to save files.

Save without the watermark

The video from the bot is the clean version. The logo and username overlay that TikTok adds to its own Save video button isn't there. More detail in our watermark guide.

Optional: use Safari instead

You can also open the bot in Safari with the link t.me/InstantTikBot, which hands off to Telegram. The result is identical.

Troubleshooting on iPhone

"Save Video" is missing. Open the video in full screen first, then use the share icon rather than long-pressing the message.

Video won't save. Go to Settings > Telegram > Photos and set access to All Photos or Add Photos Only.

The video is in Files, not Photos. Telegram sometimes sends large clips as files. Open the share menu and choose Save to Files, or retry with the video option.

Not enough storage. Free some space and try again; HD video can be large.
